About S/C

I started shooting images in 1984 with a Minolta x370, 1 macro lens, 1 35mm and a 200mm. It was with this very low pro camera gear I learned the art of photography. It was not until the Great Recession of 2008 after I had lost my corporate sales career that I sold my first professional image to a local surf company for $100.00 that I knew I could shoot for a living.

Since that first image in 2008 I’ve worked with such great companies as, Quiksilver, Vans, Billabong, Nike among others and editorials such as, Surfer Magazine, Surfing Magazine, Trans World, ESPN. I also worked within the print and online news agencies including, the O.C. Register, orangecounty.com, Surfline, Sol Spot, Solent among others.

In 2014, I started working hands on with some of the clients listed above on their marketing strategies and go to market messaging. With the help of one of Orange Counties premier P.R. firms, C-2quared, I learned the art of the message and marketing. I took this knowledge and branched out on my own in early 2015 and worked with such clients as, PBS SoCal, McKenna Volkswagen, HBC, Five Points, IMOLA, Horse Nation Foundation, DFS, Sweet Death, Block Solutions, Hawley Boy Farms, Caviar Gold among others.

As 2017 begins so does the creative minds of the newly formed Salanoa Creative. SC has hired and contracted with some of the best top young talent in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. Salanoa Creative now a boutique marketing team with a combined 24 years experience is here to create for you.
